Branding & Carsharing platform
Volkswagen Driving Music is an all-star joint venture between Volkswagen, Sony Music, Last Tour and Spotify aiming to provide the ultimate music festival experience right from the get-go by combining it with musically matched carsharing. At the same time, Driving Music is also an initiative to make use of transport in a more sustainable and environmentally friendly manner.
We had the fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the inception and implementation of the project.
Starting with the branding, we created a “flowing” logotype that symbolizes both the music and mobility elements that embody the essence of Driving Music.
We then moved on to conceptualizing, designing and developing the online platform where driving music becomes a reality. Festivalgoers can sign up as drivers or passengers attending a particular festival, and using the Spotify API they can find people with matching musical taste so that the trip to the festival is a great social experience right from the very start.
By signing up to Driving Music, users not only get to meet people with similar musical taste or find carsharing buddies, but also opt in to win festival tickets.
Volkswagen Driving Music has been one of the most challenging interactive projects we’ve done to date. A phenomenal opportunity to combine several of our specialties and dive deep within the depths of UX/UI analysis and design to deliver an innovative experience that enhances social interaction through music, all of it under the hood of sustainability and environmental awareness.
