‘La obra más cara’ (The most expensive artwork) is an initiative from Renfe (Spanish railroad) to raise awareness of the annual cost of cleaning up graffiti on their trains.

Shackleton invited us to create a microsite where users can tweet their discontent and by using the hashtag #LaObraMásCara, symbolically lower this high cost that is being funded by taxpayer money. Additionally, we created an installation for their stand at ARCO, Madrid’s most reputable contemporary art fair, where attendants can see realtime tweets and the symbolic reduced cost that has been generated by raising awareness.
