Barcelona has long been recognized as a world skateboarding destination, yet despite its cultural significance, Nike SB had surprisingly few strategic video pieces and executions showcasing its deep-rooted presence in the city. To bridge this gap, Nike SB partnered with Binalogue to conceptualize and develop a compelling narrative and strategy that would solidify the brand’s role in Barcelona.

Working closely with Lateral Thinking and skateboarding cinematographer Kike Mayor, and photographers Roger Ferrero and Marcel Veldman, the team at Nike Barcelona built anticipation and launched Nike SB’s first-ever Barcelona Video Part—a landmark moment that celebrated both the sport and Nike SB’s commitment to the city. The campaign was designed to maximize impact around key Barcelona key skateboarding moments, such as Go Skateboarding Day, Damn Am Barcelona, and Nike sponsored video premier and apparel customization events.

The execution also leveraged the Nike SB pro athlete team in EMEA, using their reach and credibility to amplify the film’s visibility across digital and social platforms.

This project set a new benchmark for how brands engage with skateboarding’s most iconic destinations—cementing Nike SB’s presence in Barcelona and reinforcing its legacy within the global skateboarding community.
